Methi pakoras

Ingredients:

  • 1 bunch Fenugreek (chopped and washed properly)
  • 1 cup gram flour
  • 3-4 tbsp wheat flour (non-finely grounded)  (Lapsi dalia)
  • 1 tbsp soji rawa
  • 3 green chillies (paste)
  • 1” ginger paste
  • ½ tsp eating soda
  • 1 tsp red chilli powder
  • Pinch of turmeric powder
  • 1.5 tsp coriander-cumin powder
  • 3-4 tsp sugar
  • Salt to taste

Method:

  1. In a bowl, mix all the above ingredients (except soda) and a little to water to make consistent dough for pakodas.
  2. Keep it aside for 30 minutes.
  3. Add eating soda and 1tbsp hot oil to the dough and mix properly.
  4. Make pakoras from the dough and deep-fry them.

Sandwich pakoras

Ingredients:

  • 1 sliced potato
  • 1 cup garlic coconut chutney
  • 1 cup batter of methi pakoras (as mentioned above)

Method:

  1. Spread garlic-coconut chutney between two potato slices. (Prepare such pairs from all the slices)
  2. Dip the pair into the dough of methi pakora, handling it carefully and deepfry them till golden brown.
  3. Cut the sandwich pakoras into two before serving.

Onion pakoras

Ingredients:

  • 1 sliced onion
  • 1-2 tbsp gram flour
  • ½ cup fenugreek leaves
  • ½ tsp red chilli powder
  • ½ tsp sugar
  • Salt to taste

Method:

  1. Mix all the ingredients and keep aside for 15-20 minutes.
  2. Deep fry the pakoras.
